Cottage at the Farm

Cottage at the Farm

Come hang out with us! This newly renovated Cottage at the Farm is located on the Island Creek Oysters’ 11-acre historic, waterfront campus.

As Island Creek continues to write the next chapter of this historic property in Duxbury, we would like to showcase how much the property and the town have to offer. Take a quick two minute walk down to our very own private beach overlooking the picturesque Duxbury Bay, yours to utilize for swimming, sun bathing, and paddleboarding (paddleboards provided!).

Then walk steps from there to our outdoor Raw Bar to enjoy oysters on the half shell that are grown only yards away.

Want to learn more about the Island Creek farming process? Take a farm tour while you’re here! We offer farm tours four times a day, five days a week. This charming seaside cottage is located in the heart of Duxbury’s Snug Harbor District. Within walking distance from the cottage you can find a fresh seafood market and lunch spot, a French Bakery and cafe, a 200 year old restaurant and pub, and fishing charters.

The ground floor is centered with a spacious kitchen, casual living room, full bathroom with tub/shower, and two cozy bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with a full bed). The kitchen has an island, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven/stove, coffee maker, and toaster.

The living area is equipped with two armchairs, a comfortable pull out couch for extra sleeping quarters, a dining table, and a vintage record player to enjoy your favorite vinyl tunes! Just outside the front door is a wooden deck with cushioned chairs for unwinding after a long day of hanging at the raw bar, going on a farm tour, or just perusing around Duxbury.

Upstairs is the master suite that comes with a queen bed, half bath, and a desk for the occasional beating back of the email demon.

Duxbury is conveniently located halfway between Cape Cod and Boston, a 30-40 minute drive to each, and the Boston commuter rail station is only 10 minutes away. Take a 15 minute trip south to the Plymouth waterfront to hop on a whale watch, check out the shops and restaurants, or view the ”Mayflower,” or visit nearby historic Plimoth Plantation. We may be biased, but this is a perfect vacation spot for families and friends. See you soon!
