Every so often something very cool and unexpected happens to us at Island Creek. Such was the case today when our friends from Harpoon Brewery came down to the farm to take pictures. What were they taking pictures of you ask? Well, they were taking pictures of a girl named Katy who is a brewer at Harpoon. What is she brewing and why would her picture need to be taken out on the farm? Well, an Island Creek Oyster Stout. We've been waiting sometime to tell everyone, but now the cat is out of the bag. We are so honored to partner with a company like Harpoon. A small Boston based brewer focused on putting out great products and taking care of the environment and city they live and work in. Sounds familiar to us. The beer is being brewed the end of January and will be out in February. More to come as we get closer. Until then, local beer and local oysters. Its what this time of year is all about.
