Scott grew up on the water in Duxbury digging steamers with Skip and, later on, spent some time as stern man on Billy's lobster boat. After graduating from Massachusetts Maritime Academy he sailed as an officer for Exxon on the west coast. He thoroughly enjoyed shipping but more so, missed home. He left the west coast and returned to Duxbury where he worked as an independent rep selling packaging and processing equipment. But this time he missed being on the water, so he started a new life as an oyster farmer which now suits him perfectly.
He still plays soccer regularly and lives with his wife Blake, and two sons, Scott Jr. and Peter, who have actively taken the place of an alarm clock in his life.
Off the water:
Scott plays soccer and golf skiing and pretty much just helping friends whenever needed.
