Alex Mansfield and John Brawley work alongside one another both on and off the water. Together, they run a lease on the water and also co-own the environmental consulting business Saquish Scientific. Alex, who grew up in Hanson, Mass. left his position as a scientist at Batelle to join the Island Creek team in 2001. Now, along with oystering, he's the ecology program director at Jones River Landing, a non-profit agency in Kingston.
He and his wife Leighann live together on the South Shore.
